Weekend Recap + Weekly Plan November 25 – December 1


I am so tired.

This weekend took every last ounce of energy from my body and threw it out the window. But I loved every last second of it so I guess being tired for the next day or so isn’t so bad. Oh and I worked until 1am last night. Awesome.

So my weekend with the girls was a blast! Bridget and I took the train from Toronto to Cornwall on Friday night and we had so many good laughs during that 4 hour train ride. It flew by! We got into a bit of trouble though.. apparently you can’t bring your own wine on the train? Who knew ;).

Weekly Plan Nov 11-17


Happy Monday everyone! I’m off work today so I have been busy in the kitchen and watching too much reality TV.

Before I get into this week’s weekly plan I want to take a second to pay tribute to Remembrance Day. My Grandfather served in the Korean War and he recently passed. I miss him every day and like so many others who fought for us, I remember him today and thank him for his service.

Weekly Plan Nov 4 – 10


Hey guys! Hope you all had a great weekend! I had a fairly busy weekend in Kingston/Cornwall.

My 5km race on Saturday morning was COLD. We bundled up and heading to the race around 9am, start time was 10am. We parked the car in the parking lot behind the elementary school where the sign in was but as we were walking over we all got soaked in the massive hidden puddles on the trail to the school. So we had to run the race with wet feet! Luckily I didn’t really notice it while I was running. I finished in 29:33 which I am happy with. I wanted to finish in 28 min but the course was hilly and I am just happy I finished pain free and with no walking.

Weekly Plan Oct 21-27


Hey guys! Another week, another weekly plan.

I did so much cooking/baking this weekend! I loved every second of it. I’m not used to having so much free time on the weekend because we are usually travelling, at the cottage, in Cornwall, etc. It was nice to get up and just, cook.

I made a banana zucchini bread, trail mix, baked squash, veggie soup with dumplings, baked sweet potatoes, two meals for Grant, and a special halloween treat that will be on the blog this week.

Weekly Plan October 7-13


I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine flew by. I was in Kingston for Queen’s homecoming and it was so much fun. I loved being ‘home’ and getting a little taste of Queen’s life again.

If you live in Canada you’ve probably heard of Queen’s homecoming and how crazy it was a few years ago. The Aberdeen street party was the biggest party of all homecoming and hundreds of people filled on to Aberdeen to party. When I was in third year they decided to cancel homecoming because the parties got so out of hand.
